Wilton Benitez - Colombia - Castillo Decaf

from £9.00

Region - Piendamo

Processing Station - Finca Paraiso 92

Varietal - Castillo

Process - Sugar Cane Advanced Decaf

Flavours - Blackberry, Milk Choc

This is my first Decaf and it has taken a while to find one that I can enjoy. I only sell coffee that I enjoy drinking! As with other Wilton Benitez coffee this is a wonderful example of how different fermentation approaches can create an outstanding coffee. This is a great decaf whilst holding the fruit forward tones found in the other Wilton coffees. All the fun with none of the caffeine!

Filter or Espresso profiles available, this works well as both.

Wilton comes from a family background in coffee production, working on the family farm. It was here that he discovered the true potential of coffee through fermentation technology. Wilton started to take a real interest in the way that fermentation practices were delivered in other industries such as wine, beer, and cheese to aid the development of new and unique flavour compounds. As his understanding increased, he started developing his own protocols to be used in coffee processing.

All the coffees grown on the 3 farms require a high level of skill and management that, along with investments in the farms own dry mill 2 years ago, allows Wilton and his team to have full control over each process. This is key to such high quality production.

Available in 150g and 220g bags. Depending on your brew method and dose, 150g will make approx 6 to 8 cups of coffee & 220g will make 10 to 12 cups of coffee.

You can select whole bean or a grind size as well as roast profile, lighter or darker, depending on your preference, when you select purchase.
