About Tilted Coffee
Tilted Coffee is a family run business based in Nantwich, Cheshire.
A small scale and high quality coffee roastery, providing a selection of single origin coffee beans for you to brew at home for a range of espresso based drinks or filter coffee.
Coffee is available as a standalone purchase or through the monthly subscription service, where you will receive a variety of coffee based on what is tasting great that month.
Bags are sized at 150g and 220g. Standard offerings on the market seem to be at 250g and then versions up to 1kg. I wanted to offer 150g options as this gives people the chance to supplement purchases from other roasters, sample a new type of coffee with a lower cost or have a greater selection at home.
220g works for us at the moment, based on production methods and batch sizes. If you would like to buy larger amounts, then please get in touch and we will do our best to sort this out.
The processes followed at Tilted Coffee have been carefully put together with a focus on high quality output and minimal wastage. We regularly review how we work and who we work with, in order to have a positive impact on the environments we are a part of but also to make sure you are provided with the highest quality and best tasting cup of coffee.
We currently roast on the Roest, a high end product created by the Roest team in Oslo. The typical use case for this machine is sample roasting but we have chosen to use this as an entry point for a small scale roasting business. It has proven to be an excellent way of learning how to roast and create an outstanding roasted coffee, because of the size there is much more flexibility in producing different roast profiles and possible outcomes in the final cup.
There are plans to grow the business in the near future and a variety of roaster options are being considered.
In an attempt to make a positive impact we currently donate 5% of monthly revenue to charity. These are a variety of coffee based, animal welfare and humanitarian charities either local, national or international. The selected charities and donations made can be tracked through the posts in the Coffee Journal
